Teachers
All the teachers at Astanga Yoga Switzerland are highly qualified and experienced. Each has a current, dedicated Astanga practice, has been practicing daily for many years and has been authorised by Sharath Jois, the current lineage holder of Astanga yoga in Mysore, India.
Francisca
I started practicing Yoga when I was eighteen as I couldn’t touch my toes. I began with a few local classes until 2013 when I was fortunate enough to meet Victor, my meditation teacher. In 2015 I began studying with Rodrigo Rivas authorized teacher from K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore and I have been returning most years ever since to continue my studies with him.
In 2016 with no doubts I decided to go to Mysore, before knowing I was going to get accepted in the main Shala, just to know soon that I would be accepted in it. That is where I got deeply moved to learn and share this method and continuing studying every day.
That same year I meet Christian in the small changing room at the second floor where Philosophy classes where imparted by Lakshmisha. I asked him for help with my homework. Since then we never got apart.
I moved to Switzerland in 2021 and live with Christian.
I have been Authorized to teach Astanga since 2022.
My other interests are running in Landscaping architecture, yoga philosophy, nature and currently helping others with online marketing.
